The research will also entailstudies regarding the structural biology of intestinal epithelialcells with specific emphasis on actin and its binding partners. Theapplicant must have a Post-doctoral degree in science in a topicrelated to cell biology and microbiology or a similar field. Theapplicant must have experience with techniques related to cellculture, western blot, PCR, confocal microscopy, tissueimmunohistochemistry for light and electron microscopy, and animalhandling. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andstatistical analysis is a must as well as familiarity with imageprocessing programs such as ImageJ or Adobe Photoshop. It ispreferred that the candidate have experience preparing andexecuting both oral and poster presentations for nationalconferences as well as experience in manuscript preparation andsubmission.
