The truck also features four-wheel steering; air suspension; 12 inches of ground clearance; and the ability to use dually wheel and tandem-axle configurations. Bed lengths of 6.5 and 8 feet will be available, along with 2+2 cab or full-sized crew-cab.When properly equipped, the XT 500 should be able to haul 5,000 pounds in the bed; and tow 35,000 pounds.Like other electric trucks, the XT 500 also rides on a skateboard chassis that allows it to be configurable to suit the customer’s needs. This means the standard bed could be swapped out for a larger one, or a different configuration.RELATED The next big thing in the automotive industry seems to be all-electric pickup trucks, and the next vehicle to jump into the fledgling segment is a full-sized heavy-hitter called the Atlis XT.Company owner and engineer Mark Hanchett started Atlis because he wanted to convert his diesel-powered truck into an EV, and thought he could do it better than the big boys in Detroit.Powering the XT are four electric motors mounted at each of the four wheels. Battery size has not been disclosed, but Atlis say range will vary between 300 miles (482 km) and 500 miles (804 km).
