It grades Prescott as a second round pick.Earlier this year, Prescott told Sports Illustrated he’d consider leaving Mississippi State if he drew a grade within the first three rounds. As Mississippi State opened bowl practices on Friday, the quarterback wanted to wait for more information before commenting.“I’m not sure. I’ll think about that later,” Prescott said. “I’m not really thinking about that right now.”For now, Prescott’s not focused on his future in football, including the Orange Bowl on Dec. 31. The fourth-year junior graduates Friday after majoring in educational psychology.“I’m just worried about graduating right now,” Prescott said. “I’ll decide that later. Me and Benardrick both will.” Dak Prescott and Benardrick McKinney have both filed paperwork with the NFL to receive prospective draft grades. Underclassmen have until Monday to request a draft grade. The paperwork doesn’t commit a player to the NFL Draft, but provides more information to help make the decision.“When we get all the paperwork back, we’ll sit down with those guys and we’ll really discuss the best options for all their futures,” MSU coach Dan Mullen said. The grades predict a round a player could to be drafted. It’s based solely on football ability. The grade doesn’t consider depth at a position or draft, team needs or character issues.“We have great open discussions about that. I love guys getting the opportunity to play professional football. That’s a dream come true for most people,” Mullen said. “So if guys have that opportunity, and it’s a great position for them to leave we’re going to encourage them to go do that.”Play VideoPlayMuteCurrent Time 0:00/Duration Time 0:00Loaded: 0%0:00Progress: 0%0:00 Progress: 0%Stream TypeLIVERemaining Time -0:00 Playback Rate1ChaptersChaptersdescriptions off, selectedDescriptionssubtitles off, selectedSubtitlescaptions settings, opens captions settings dialogcaptions off, selectedCaptionsAudio TrackFullscreenThis is a modal window.
