Liverpool and Man City target signs new Middlesbrough deal

first_imgMiddlesbrough have convinced wing star Adam Reach to pen a new four-and-a-half year deal with the club to ward off interest from Manchester City, Liverpool and a list of other Premier League clubs.The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the hottest prospects outside the top flight and has been linked with both City and Liverpool among many others after a series of superb displays for Boro.Reach, who joined the club from Gateshead College in 2011, had spells at Darlington, Shrewsbury and Bradford before establishing himself as a first-team player at the Riverside.He has made a huge impact for Aitor Karanka’s side this term, which only intensified the speculation around his future, with top-flight clubs said to be circling.But Reach has now committed his future to the north east club by signing a new contract which runs until the summer of 2019.The youngster continues Middlesbrough’s rich recent tradition of producing talented left wingers after both Stewart Downing and Adam Johnson came through the club.
